Philadelphia police investigating after 3-year-old dog shot dead inside home

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Philadelphia police are investigating after a canine was shot and killed inside a house on Monday night time.

It occurred round 7:30 p.m. on the 6000 block of Agusta Avenue within the metropolis’s Summerdale part.

Police say a 3-year-old Husky was mendacity on the ground of the house, affected by a gunshot wound to the pinnacle.

The canine was later pronounced lifeless.

In response to Philadelphia Chief Inspector Scott Small, officers are nonetheless working to find out what led as much as the incident.

“We do have a semi-automatic gun recovered and we discovered one spent shell casing within the basement ground. We’re simply attempting to find out the circumstances of how this canine was shot and killed,” stated Small.

A 25-year-old man was inside the house when the weapon went off, police stated.
