Officials: First responders pull 3 juvenile swimmers from rip currents in Ocean City, NJ

OCEAN CITY, New Jersey (WPVI) — Three juvenile swimmers had been pulled from the ocean Saturday after they had been caught in a rip present in Ocean Metropolis, New Jersey.

Officers say an emergency name got here round midday within the space of tenth Road.

Ocean Metropolis Seaside Patrol, who had been working at twelfth Road in preparation for Memorial Day weekend, instantly responded.

Crew members reportedly swam to rescue two of the three swimmers once they noticed a shirt within the waves.

A watercraft operator was then signaled to rescue the third juvenile, a 12-year-old boy, who was submerged.

The Ocean Metropolis Hearth Division launched a second watercraft operator to help within the rescue operation.

Officers say two of the three victims had been in a position to make it onto the seashore with out help.

Responders carried out a number of rounds of CPR on the 12-year-old boy from Mays Touchdown earlier than he was transported to Shore Medical Middle.

Officers say he was respiratory on his personal however unresponsive.

He was then taken to the Trauma Middle at Cooper College Hospital for additional analysis.
