Pennsylvania State Trooper shot in Aliquippa

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A Pennsylvania State Trooper has been shot in Beaver County.

Police say the incident began when officers on patrol alongside Franklin Avenue noticed a disturbance outdoors the Franklin Mini-Mart.

Troopers approached a person, recognized as 41-year-old Damian Bradford, who bumped into the shop after which fought with officers.

Police say a struggle occurred between Troopers and Bradford, who shot one of many Troopers within the leg.

Bradford was taken into custody. It is unclear what expenses he’ll face.

The Trooper, who works out of the Beaver Barracks, was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital and is predicted to be okay, having been final listed in secure situation.

A press convention is predicted to be held someday Friday morning.
