We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of this piece of New Jersey history. “Emlen Physick Jr., his widowed mother, Frances Ralston, and his maiden aunt Emilie Parmentier moved into their home when it was completed in 1879.”

According to Love Exploring “Located in Cape May, this is one of the few Victorian-inspired buildings on our list. Built in 1879, the estate is named after its original owner Dr. Emlen Physick – one of Cape May’s most prominent citizens. The estate comprises the main house, carriage house plus manicured gardens and grounds.”
