Shortly earlier than 1 p.m., the New Jersey Forest Hearth Service alerted that crews had been responding to an energetic wildfire off Route 539. 

After hours of battling the flames, hearth officers begun a backfiring operation to help in containment as the fireplace rapidly unfold and threatened 16 close by buildings. 

Native volunteer hearth firms are on scene offering construction help as the fireplace absolutely engulfs a number of dozen acres of land.
