New Hampshire granted millions for forestry development

CONCORD, Vt. (WCAX) – New Hampshire’s forestry sector acquired funding to deal with lowering greenhouse fuel emissions.

Democratic U.S. Sens. Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan and Rep. Annie Kuster mentioned in a press release that the USDA is giving the New England Forestry Basis $30 million.

The objective is to encourage climate-smart forestry practices and sustainable harvesting.

Shaheen mentioned in a press release that increasing markets for wooden merchandise from sustainable forests can additional profit local weather mitigation efforts.
