Massachusetts man dead after collapsing at Arches National Park

GRAND COUNTY, Utah — A person died whereas mountain climbing in Arches Nationwide Park after collapsing to the bottom together with his household Friday afternoon.

In keeping with the Grand County Sheriff’s workplace, the 71-year-old man from Massachusetts was mountain climbing the park together with his spouse and son when he collapsed and was unresponsive.

First responders from Basic Air Medical, the Nationwide Park Service, the Bureau of Land Administration, and Grand County arrived on the scene.

“CPR was carried out on the person, who was then pronounced deceased on the scene,” reads the sheriff’s workplace’s Fb put up.

The person was transferred to the Utah Workplace of the Medical Examiner for an official explanation for demise.

The Nationwide Park Service and Grand County Sheriff’s workplace are investigating the incident.
