Here's which Massachusetts school districts closed Tuesday as a result of power outages

Several schools in Massachusetts were closed Tuesday as a result of continued power outages caused by Monday’s storm. Most are located on the South Shore.

The storm brought record-breaking high winds and resulted in power being cut to over 285,000 customers at one point. By Tuesday morning, over 130,000 homes and businesses across the state were still without power.

The following school districts have announced closures or delays for Tuesday, Dec. 19. This list is continuously updated. To refresh this list, click here.

  • Bishop Feehan High School — According to a notice on the school’s website, the school — which is located in Attleboro — will have a remote learning day Tuesday due to a power outage at the school. An email sent to families on Monday has further instructions.
  • Cohasset Public Schools — According to a notice on the district’s website, the district is fully closed Tuesday, as not all of its buildings will have power. All sports and other activities are also cancelled.
  • Duxbury Public Schools — According to a notice on the district’s website, the district is fully closed Tuesday.
  • Foxborough Regional Charter School — According to a notice on the district’s website, the district is fully closed Tuesday due to the school’s elementary school building still being without power. The school hopes to reopen Wednesday and will keep families informed.
  • Marshfield Public Schools — According to a Facebook post from the district, the district is fully closed Tuesday due to power outages at school buildings and in the community. A decision about after-school activities will be made Tuesday morning.
  • Norwell Public Schools — According to a notice on the district’s website, the district is fully closed Tuesday due to power outages in the town.
  • Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School — According to a post on the school’s Facebook page, the school — which is located in Rochester and serves Acushnet, Carver, Lakeville, Mattapoisett and Rochester — is closed Tuesday due to a continued power outage at the school. It hopes to reopen Wednesday and will keep families informed.
  • Rising Tide Charter School — According to a notice on the district’s website, the district — which is located in Plymouth — is fully closed Tuesday due to a power outage.
  • Sacred Heart School — According to a post on the school’s Facebook page, the school is fully closed Tuesday due to a power outage.
  • Silver Lake Regional School District — According to a notice on the district’s website, the district —which serves Kingston, Halifax and Plympton — is fully closed due to a power outage.
  • Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School — According to a notice on the school’s website, the school — which is located in Easton — is fully closed Tuesday due to a power outage.
  • South Shore Christian Academy — According to a notice on the school’s website, the school — which is located in Weymouth — is closed Tuesday due to flooding complications that have shut down the school’s heating systems.
