Warming centers to open due to frigid cold in Biddeford, Saco and Old Orchard Beach

With very chilly temperatures and wind chills within the forecast, warming shelters are opening in Biddeford, Saco and Previous Orchard Seashore.

• In Biddeford, a warming heart opens 9 a.m. Friday Feb. 3 on the J. Richard Martin Group Heart, 189 Alfred St., and can shut at 7 a.m. Monday Feb. 6. Folks ought to use the Prospect Avenue entrance. The initiative is a partnership between the cities of Biddeford and Saco and Seeds of Hope Neighborhood Heart.

• In Saco, town will present a warming heart 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4 at Saco Group Heart (Saco Parks & Recreation), 75 Franklin St. The Group Heart may have lively applications working, and so indicators will direct guests to the designated warming heart rooms. Persons are requested to enter by way of the northeast (principal) entryway adjoining to the big parking zone.

The Saco Transportation Heart, 138 Major St., is open from 5:30 a.m. till 9:15 p.m. every day.

Additionally in Saco, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Saco and Biddeford, 60 College St., is opening their doorways from 3 p.m. Friday Feb. 3 to eight a.m. Sunday Feb. 5.

• In Previous Orchard Seashore, the Recreation Division hosts a warming heart 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 3 and 4, on the Ballpark.

Additionally in Previous Orchard Seashore, the Salvation Military, 6 Circuit St., hosts a warming heart 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday Feb. 3 and 4.
