Police: Maine man wanted for wife’s death found dead in car

NEW VINEYARD, Maine (AP) — A New Winery man was found useless in his car after fleeing from officers who had been trying to arrest him for murdering his spouse final 12 months, state police mentioned.

Wilfred Daggett Jr., 43, took his life on Friday, little greater than a 12 months after the demise of Collette Daggett, 43, in New Winery, state police mentioned.

Wilfred Daggett had known as police final June to say his car was submerged in a pond and that his spouse wanted medical help.

His spouse’s physique was on the shoreline when first responders arrived. Police haven’t mentioned how she died.
