Maine man who swung at Capitol officers during Jan. 6 riot charged
A Maine man who swung a pole at regulation enforcement officers defending the U.S. Capitol is dealing with federal costs.
Christopher Maurer, 45, made an preliminary courtroom look Wednesday after being charged with seven counts together with civil dysfunction, and assaulting, resisting or impeding officers with a lethal and harmful weapon.

He was accused of becoming a member of different rioters who had been trying to cease or delay the counting of electoral votes on Jan. 6, 2021.
