‘Boatbuilding in Maine and Boothbay

On Thursday, June 2, at 4:30 p.m, Boothbay Area Historic Society presents Jon Johansen’s discuss “Boatbuilding in Maine and Boothbay from 1980 to the Current.”  Boatbuilding within the state of Maine has an unbelievable historical past. Jon will take a look at a few of the extra attention-grabbing boats constructed on the coast of Maine during the last 40 years, whether or not sail or energy, giant or small, for pleasure or for work. 

Jon Johansen is the writer of the month-to-month newspaper Maine Coastal Information, the president of Maine Constructed Boats, the president of Maine Lobster Boat Racing, president of the board of Penobscot Marine Museum, Director of the Worldwide Maritime Library, and president of the Winterport Historic Society.
