JERICHO, N.Y. — There are drought situations within the Tri-State Space.

Fairfield County and each different county in Connecticut entered Stage 2 drought situations Thursday. Leaders are asking folks to voluntarily restrict water situations.

In a single group in Nassau County, the situations are worse. Just a few days in the past, the Jericho Water District issued a “no watering” alert.

Officers say water should not be used for something aside from private and home use.
