Police Investigate Killing of Bear That Left 2 Cubs Orphaned
NEWTOWN, Conn. (AP) — The capturing of Connecticut black bear that left two cubs with no mom is being investigated by environmental conservation police.
The bear was killed in Newtown on Thursday and the state Division of Vitality and Environmental Safety is permitting the cubs to stay free within the space, regardless of calls from city officers to ship them to a rehabilitation heart.
“The bear cubs stay within the space as it’s their residence vary, and their familiarity with the realm will enhance their likelihood of success,” the company mentioned in a press release, including that its wildlife biologists and police will proceed to observe the cubs.
