CT tattoo studio offering flash tattoos to help a good cause

The owners of Crooked Soul Tattoo Studio in Plainville will hold a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association Aug. 25 by offering small flash tattoo designs for $100, according to a statement from the company.

The shop at 33 West Main St. is owned by Abel Perez and his wife, Eva Perez. The term flash tattoo refers to one done with an existing design.

The fundraising event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

In addition to offering the flash tattoos, the business is raffling 16 prizes from local business and will have food trucks and refreshments from a Connecticut coffee maker.

The studio describes itself online: “Crooked Soul Tattoo began in 2017 as a small, single artist studio. Since then, we have assembled an amazing team of artists with a diverse artistic background, and grown to be the award winning studio that we are today.”

The fundraiser is being held in collaboration with local fire departments, according to the couple.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a voluntary health organization to benefit those living with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related neuromuscular diseases.
