Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont pledges to sign key abortion bill
HARTFORD, Conn. — Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont has pledged to signal a key abortion invoice.
He says he needs to reaffirm the state’s dedication to defending reproductive rights.
“The tradition wars are lapping up throughout our shores right here in Connecticut, and we’re standing collectively. We’re ensuring that in terms of our girls, in terms of our selection, in terms of these cultural wars, we stand on behalf of the ladies within the state of Connecticut, and that is not gonna change,” Lamont stated Tuesday.
This comes months earlier than a significant Supreme Courtroom determination that would overturn Roe v. Wade.
