First woman on Boston Police bomb squad hopes to inspire others

BOSTON – She is the bomb! The Boston Police Division welcomed its first feminine bomb technician to the bomb squad. Her title is Sgt. Christine Carr, and he or she has greater than a decade on the power.
“Essentially the most troublesome a part of the job can be these unknown calls that offer you that sense of that is actual,” smiles Sgt. Carr.
She started her profession as a patrol officer and was on the end line in the course of the marathon bombing. Now virtually ten years later she is working to thwart future explosions.

Sgt. Carr says she is in her factor when she is engaged on a bomb. She is a scuba diver, so going to work in a heavy bomb swimsuit really is calming for her.
