The Connecticut Sun opened their season with a 70-61 victory over the Fever in Indianapolis Friday night. DeWanna Bonner had 19 points for the Sun and Alyssa Thomas had 18 points and 11 rebounds. The Fever’s Kelsey Mitchell led all scorers with 20 points.
