The Nationwide Climate Service mentioned Logan Airport recorded a excessive of 97 levels, topping the document of 96 levels set in 1928.

With the oppressive humidity, forecasters warned simply earlier than the document was damaged that the area has a number of extra hours of “peak heating” to return.

The warmth and humidity is predicted to stretch by way of the weekend. The service has issued warmth advisories, and Boston Mayor Michelle Wu has declared a warmth emergency.
