McCarthy confirms Santos is facing House probe | CNN Politics

New York Rep. George Santos is now going through an investigation from the Home Ethics Committee, a probe that would derail his already imperiled political profession relying on the secretive panel’s findings.

Home Speaker Kevin McCarthy confirmed to CNN on Tuesday that the embattled freshman is underneath investigation by the committee, one thing that even Republicans acknowledge may result in his expulsion from Congress if the panel turns up critical proof of wrongdoing.
