In Ukraine, Jewish orphanage evacuates 300 kids amid Russia invasion
On an evening two weeks in the past in southwest Ukraine, youngsters inside a Jewish orphanage felt the bottom shake and watched lights eerily flicker.
Bombs have been falling only a mile from their dwelling, shattering their protected world and sending them fleeing into the darkness.
The youngsters, most of their pajamas and with out sneakers, rushed out of the orphanage and squeezed onto buses to make their technique to the Moldova border because the Russian army launched its invasion of Ukraine. The journey, which ultimately took the kids to Romania, left them in tears and confusion: The place would they name dwelling now?
