Firefighters battling massive blaze at Philadelphia Catholic school

The flames broke out round 3:45 p.m. on the Our Mom of Comfort College positioned on East Chestnut Hill Avenue.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Firefighters are battling a three-alarm blaze at a Catholic faculty in Philadelphia’s Chestnut Hill neighborhood.

The flames broke out round 3:45 p.m. Tuesday on the Our Mom of Comfort College positioned on East Chestnut Hill Avenue.

Chopper 6 was overhead as heavy smoke billowed from the college.

About 120 firefighters are working to get the blaze below management.

In response to officers, nobody was within the faculty when the fireplace broke out.

No accidents have been reported.

The reason for the fireplace continues to be below investigation.
