Wisconsin Primary Election: Democrat Barnes alone in Senate race
MILWAUKEE – In late July, a slew of Democrats suspended their major campaigns for U.S. Senate and endorsed Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, opening the door for Barnes to clinch the Democratic nomination.
Whereas there are different candidates within the race, political specialists say Barnes is the front-runner within the major. If Barnes wins Aug. 9, he’ll face incumbent Republican Sen. Ron Johnson within the race for U.S. Senate.
Barnes, 35, is a Milwaukee native. Marketing campaign adverts present Barnes highlighting his middle-class upbringing. Barnes’ mother and father have appeared in his marketing campaign adverts. Distinguished Democratic Senators Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker have thrown help behind Barnes.
On July 30, Barnes acquired the Democratic Social gathering of Wisconsin’s endorsement, the celebration’s chair introduced.
