Kohl’s Corp. Negotiating to Sell to Vitamin Shoppe Operator
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Wisconsin-based Kohl’s Corp. is in negotiations to promote the corporate to the group that runs Vitamin Shoppe shops.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that the Menominee Falls-based retailer stated Monday that it has entered negotiations with Franchise Group Inc. to accumulate the corporate at $60 per share. That interprets to about $8 billion.
Franchise Group posted a press release saying it plans to finance the acquisition by issuing $1 billion of debt and use the worth of Kohl’s actual property holdings to finance the remaining.
