South Dakota Tribes want Medicaid
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) – Tribal Nations throughout South Dakota are placing their weight behind an upcoming poll initiative that they are saying will make reasonably priced healthcare out there to South Dakotans.
With South Dakota being certainly one of simply 12 states that haven’t expanded Medicaid beneath the Reasonably priced Care Act, tribal Leaders held a press convention Wednesday about why that is an opportune time for the state to move Modification D: Medicaid Enlargement. If handed it will broaden the provision of reasonably priced healthcare to a further 42,500 South Dakotans. The President of the Oglala Sioux Tribe expressed his ideas on the significance of voting for this measure.
“These tenants are the cornerstones of who can we care about, how can we care about our folks, how can we care about our communities and once more for me personally that is I simply take into consideration all of the experiences that my mother needed to undergo,” stated Kevin Killer.
Voting for the modification will happen in November.
