School bus crash injures 1 in Dickey County near South Dakota border
ELLENDALE, N.D. — One particular person has been injured in a crash involving a college bus about eight miles north of Ellendale on Freeway 281 in far southern North Dakota.
In keeping with a launch from the North Dakota Freeway Patrol:
A pickup and two faculty buses had been northbound on Freeway 281 about 3:33 p.m. Friday, July 1, when the pickup slowed to show left.
As the primary faculty bus additionally slowed, the second bus driver slammed on the breaks to keep away from the primary bus. The second bus, a 2022 Worldwide Navistar, entered the east ditch, struck an embankment, traveled over it and reentered the ditch.
The Navistar was broken when it reentered the ditch, and the driving force, a 35-year-old girl from Olds, Alberta, was injured. She was taken by ambulance to a close-by airport and flown to Avera Hospital in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
Situations had been clear and sunny on the time of the crash, which stays below investigation by the North Dakota Freeway Patrol.
Neither faculty bus had passengers, and the injured driver was carrying a seat belt.
