Bacon Fest 2024 benefits Sioux Falls Roller Dollz derby team
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – It was a day all about many people’s favorite food at Remedy Brewing at 611 in Sioux Falls.
Bacon Fest 2024 featured bacon samples, bacon recipes and even a bacon-eating contest.
The proceeds of the event went to support the Sioux Falls Roller Dollz Roller Derby Team.
“We actually have a professional cooker this year who is doing a bacon-wrapped chestnut. We have the Meat Lodge doing plain old bacon. Then we have some crazy ones like a bacon cheese dip and poutine and a bacon mac and cheese, I believe,” said Amanda Ringling with the Roller Dollz.
For the recipe portion of the contest, each contestant had to prepare 200 small portions of their specialty bacon for guests to taste test.
