Portman, Brown Introduce Bipartisan Legislation to Study Feasibility of Ohio’s Buckeye Trail Becoming a National Scenic Trail

WASHINGTON, D.C. – At this time, U.S. Senators Rob Portman (R-OH) and Sherrod Brown (D-OH) launched laws to authorize a feasibility research to find out if the Buckeye Path – a greater than 1,400 mile path that circles the state of Ohio – is eligible to be designated as a part of the Nationwide Scenic Trails System.

“The Buckeye Path gives Ohioans from all throughout the state entry to world-class outside recreation, whether or not it’s in Cuyahoga Valley Nationwide Park, the Hocking Hills area, my house in Cincinnati, or in Northwestern Ohio,” stated Senator Portman. “I’m proud to introduce this bipartisan laws to see if the Buckeye Path is eligible to develop into a Nationwide Scenic Path, in order that we might encourage Ohioans and Individuals throughout the nation to expertise the wonder Ohio has to supply.”
