Parents shot in front of children during Ohio home invasion, police say

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) – Authorities in Ohio say a father was killed and a mom critically injured in a house invasion turned capturing that their kids witnessed.

Police say the Sunday night time incident apparently started as a house invasion in Columbus, Ohio. Officers responded to a report of a capturing at 11:57 p.m.

Brandon Gilliam, 28, was pronounced useless on the scene, and a 28-year-old girl was hospitalized in crucial situation. Officers say the 2 victims lived collectively and have been the dad and mom of the 5 kids within the dwelling.

The preliminary investigation revealed that somebody pressured entry into the home and fired pictures. Police say a few of the kids witnessed the capturing and helped their mom name 911.

Not one of the kids have been bodily harm. They have been positioned with Franklin County Kids Providers in a single day, and police say different members of the family have been involved with the company.

Detectives are attempting to find out the motive for the capturing and the way many individuals have been concerned. No suspect info has been launched.
