Ohio Task Force 1 members assist hurricane relief

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – 36 members of Ohio Job Power 1 drove to Southwest Florida to help with hurricane reduction.

The 36 members arrived Friday morning to affix their teammates who had already made up the Kind III staff. Upon becoming a member of each other, a Kind I staff was created, consisting of 83 members and 7 canines.

Members of the Kind III staff performed waterborne and land-based evacuations and harm assessments on Thursday, Sept. 30.

Over the previous two days, the staff has performed three rescues, 42 evacuations, 11 normal assists, 145 construction assessments and 18 shelter in place, which is when residents that have been checked on stated they might keep in place.

All members of the Ohio Job Power 1 have been reported to be in good well being, good spirits, and is prepared for what’s subsequent.
