CLEVELAND — On Monday, Rep. Shontel Brown, OH-11, Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb and different native leaders gathered on the Nice Lakes Science Heart to have a roundtable dialogue surrounding lead security locally.

On the dialogue was Robin Brown, who shared that in 1999, her daughter developed lead poisoning at 4 years outdated.
She stated being at Monday’s roundtable dialogue is essential as the federal government invests $55 billion from the bipartisan infrastructure legislation towards delivering clear water to all American households and eliminating the lead from the nation’s service strains.
“It’s not a simple place as a guardian or a household as a result of it doesn’t simply impression the kid. [It] impacts the entire household,” Brown stated. “I’ve been invested into this space due to African Individuals being the highest nationality poisoned by lead.”
