A video captured the heartwarming moment a missing three-year-old boy was reunited with his family after they were successfully guided to him by Ohio State Highway Patrol using a helicopter.
In the video, captured by a rescue helicopter, the pilot spotted the child who was wondering a vast bean field alone, diligently navigating through the crops.
‘They just found some fresh footprints at the creek,’ the pilot exclaimed. ‘I believe I’ve located him. He’s in the corner of the bean field, walking around, walking toward the corner.’
The rescue operation unfolded on July 20 in Xenia Township, just outside Dayton, and involved a collaborative effort between the agency’s Aviation Section and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.
Guided by the helicopter pilot’s directions, a ground search party approached the child, who was approximately 20 yards away.

The pilot provided precise instructions, guiding the rescuers to the child’s exact location.
‘Yep, right there, walk straight that way right there he’s about 20 yards in front of you,’ the pilot said as a search party approached the child.
A woman can be seen approaching the child before picking him up and embracing him while the men surrounding her give the helicopter a thumbs up.
‘The family has got him, they are giving us a thumbs up,’ the pilot said.
‘Thanks for your help,’ another voice responded through police radio.
‘Absolutely, give us a call anytime,’ the pilot replied.
It’s unclear at this time what led to the boys disappearance and how long he has been missing for.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the family was ‘very grateful’ for their combined efforts that ensured the child’s safe retrieval.
The story is reminiscent of the miraculous discovery of little Harlow Darby Freeman who was found in a car that was thought to have been stolen but in actual fact had just rolled away from where it was last seen.
