Cincinnati native and former Ohio State tight end Joe Royer also committed to the Bearcats and will represent his hometown school next season!
Royer was the 5th ranked recruit from Ohio in the 2020 recruiting class before racking up 24 receiving yards in 14 games with the Buckeyes.
The Elder High School product committed to Ohio State over Michigan and Michigan State before transferring home to Cincinnati this week.
With an opportunity to cap off his career on a high note, Royer will join the Bearcats and reunited with former high school teammate Luke Kandra.

Other recent transfer additions for the Bearcats include New Mexico State defensive back Mehki Miller and UTEP wide receiver Tyrin Smith.
Miller put up 53 tackles, four pass deflections and two interceptions at New Mexico State and should add depth to the Bearcats secondary.
Smith is set to have two years of eligibility left after posting 1,800 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns on 123 catches in three seasons at UTEP.
