WATCH: The North Dakota Special Olympics wrap up their final day of the State Summer Games

WEST FARGO — The North Dakota Special Olympics returned to Fargo. They held their annual State Summer Games at West Fargo High School. Yesterday, power lifting and volleyball events were held. Today, the track and field events spanning from an 800 meter walk, to the long jump and shot put.

In one of the 400 meter walking events, Grand Forks’ Kyanne Stringer crosses the finish line first for the state gold medal.

For the 400 meter dash, two contenders from Valley City competed against one another, while showing each other support the entire way. Kandice Novak clocked the fastest time, earning her first ever state championship.
