Teen driver hits snowplow in eastern North Dakota

SANBORN, N.D. — A Grand Forks teenager was injured Monday morning, Feb. 27, in a collision with a snowplow on Interstate 94.

A 32-year-old was driving the state transportation division snowplow round 6 a.m. east on I-94 about 9 miles west of Sanborn in Barnes County.

That is when an 18-year-old driver hit the plow from behind in a 2017 Jeep Cherokee, in keeping with the North Dakota Freeway Patrol.

There was scattered ice and frost on the street and dense fog within the space, state troopers mentioned.

The snowplow was within the left shoulder and driving lane because it was plowing the street and dispersing sand.
