FARGO — University Drive South will be closed to traffic between Third and Fourth Avenue South starting Wednesday, July 12, to replace a water service line.

Traffic will be detoured to Third Avenue South and 14th Street South, city of Fargo officials said in a news release.

One lane of traffic will be opened again by the end of the day on Wednesday. The second lane will remain closed to allow for street surface repairs to be completed.

The street is expected to fully reopen by the end of the day on Tuesday, July 18.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of “staff.” Often, the “staff” byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
