One man dead following stand-off in rural Mayville

TRAILL COUNTY, N.D. (Valley Information Dwell) – One man is lifeless following a stand-off with a number of regulation enforcement businesses in Traill County Wednesday night.

Authorities say deputies, the North Dakota Bureau of Felony Investigation and the Division of Homeland Safety had been making an attempt to serve a search warrant at a rural Mayville residence.

They are saying a person barricaded himself in a room in a store constructing. The Grand Forks Regional Swat Staff was requested to help and negotiators spoke with him by cellphone, making an attempt to get him to return out.

The 59-year previous man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound round 6:30 p.m.

The Traill County Sheriff has requested the help of the Minnesota Division of Felony Apprehension to research the incident, because of the involvement of each the Traill County Sheriff’s Workplace and the North Dakota Bureau of Felony Investigation.
