North Dakota recovers over $75K in Medicaid Fraud case
North Dakota Lawyer Normal Drew Wrigley introduced that Rebecca Fruge Anderson of Mandan, was ordered to pay $75,904.95 in restitution to the State of North Dakota, after pleading responsible to Medicaid Fraud, a category B felony. Anderson pled responsible in state District Court docket in November 2021.
The case was investigated and prosecuted by the Medicaid Fraud Management Unit[1] of the North Dakota Lawyer Normal’s workplace with help from the ND Division of Human Companies’ Program Integrity Unit. Anderson, a certified service supplier, was audited and located to have fraudulently over-billed on Medicaid care, together with for providers she didn’t present between 2017 and 2019.
“Rebecca Anderson fraudulently billed and acquired greater than $75,000 from the Medicaid program,” stated Lawyer Normal Wrigley. “Due to the efforts of the Medicaid Fraud Management Unit investigators, Anderson might be penalized for her crime and also will need to pay again each greenback she stole from Medicaid.”
Along with the $75,904.95 restitution, Anderson acquired a two-year suspended jail sentence, three years of supervised probation and was ordered to pay $810 in courtroom charges.
