GRAND FORKS — The North Dakota Division of Labor and Human Rights is investigating a Housing Discrimination Grievance alleging that Bismarck Mandan Rental LLC Properties violated the North Dakota Housing Discrimination Act when it issued a press release refusing lease funds by a public help program.

In accordance with a press launch from the Grand Forks Excessive Plains Truthful Housing Middle, on July 21 Excessive Plains found a Fb commercial posted by Bismarck Mandan Rental LLC stating the property administration would discontinue accepting any new purposes for ND Hire Assist.

Excessive Plains Truthful Housing Middle then submitted a grievance to the North Dakota Division of Labor and Human Rights accusing Bismarck Mandan Rental LLC Properties of violating the North Dakota Housing Discrimination Act. Excessive Plains will file organizational complaints when there may be proof of discrimination with the intent to cease unlawful discriminatory housing practices and insurance policies in North Dakota.

Beneath state regulation, commercials in regards to the sale or rental of a dwelling that point out any choice, limitation or discrimination or the intention to make a choice, limitation or discrimination due to receipt of public help standing are unlawful.

“Due to the ND Hire Assist program, we’ve got an amazing alternative to assist individuals safe housing and preserve individuals housed. Denying individuals the chance to acquire housing due to standing close to public help is unsuitable.” Michelle Rydz, the manager director of the Excessive Plains Truthful Housing Middle, mentioned in a press launch.

After reviewing the grievance on Aug. 18, the North Dakota Division of Labor and Human Rights then filed a proper grievance to analyze the alleged discrimination.
