Mandan officer involved in injury crash

MANDAN, N.D. — A Mandan police officer was involved in a crash Saturday, May 20, that injured one person, authorities said.

The Mandan Police Department gave few details about the crash that happened about 6:15 p.m. Saturday in southwest Mandan. It’s unclear how the crash happened, and the names of the motorists were not immediately released.

The officer was not injured, but the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was taken to a hospital, according to a news release from the Mandan Police Department. How serious the injuries are weren’t immediately made public.

“The North Dakota Highway Patrol is conducting the investigation,” the release said. “No further information will be released by the Mandan Police Department until the completion of the Highway Patrol investigation.”
