DEVILS LAKE – Take me out to the ballgame.

Actually, 30 of them.

For Terry Wallace, Dale Regan and John Olsand they won’t be back from the ballpark anytime soon.

“He twisted our arm quite a bit,” said Regan with a laugh.

They call it the Ossies Baseball Tour 2023, named after group member John Osland.

It’s been a bucket list item of his to visit all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums.

These friends since high school are doing it in 42 days.

They started in Seattle on May 25th.

Since then they have traveled more than 8,000 miles across the country passing through 27 states.

“Seeing all the different stadiums they are all a little bit unique, they’ve all been nice stadiums,” said Wallace.

Some teams have even rolled out the turf for Ossies Baseball Tour 2023.

“We went down on the infield for the Florida Marlins to watch batting practice, we got to go on the field in Atlanta afterwards, the Mariners gave us free food and drinks. We got a tour of the stadium in Kansas City with free food and drink after that,” said Osland.

“We’ve been getting stamps at each stadium, that’s dated. We are going to turn this into a picture frame and put other stuff around it and hang on the wall,” explained Regan.

For the most part the trip has been going as planned, only missing a game in Philadelphia after their RV broke down in Tennessee.

They were able to squeeze a makeup game in Philadelphia into their schedule.

“We haven’t gotten into any fights yet so its been pretty good,” said Wallace.

They have more than 6-thousand miles until their final game in San Francisco on July 5th.

When asked about the best game so far, Osland replied, “I think it was in Atlanta where it was 13-10 in extra innings, and they hit a 3 run homerun in the bottom of the 10th, and the guy that hit it was named Ozzie so as we were walking out the crowd was chanting Ozzie, Ozzie and we are wearing our shirts.”
