HHS Awards $4.3 Million in Head Start Funds to North Dakota Tribal Communities
WASHINGTON
– U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) introduced at the moment
the U.S. Division of Well being and Human Companies (HHS) awarded a
complete of $4,272,883 in Head Begin Indian Grants to North Dakota tribal
communities. HHS awarded the next:
- $1,647,772
to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians; - $1,218,684
to the Three Affiliated Tribes; and - $1,406,427
to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
The funds come by way of the Head Begin and Early Head Begin
packages, which promote faculty readiness for younger kids and toddlers from
low-income households by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional
improvement in addition to early studying, well being, and household well-being.
