Fundraising efforts set up for ND Museum of Art after sculpture stolen

FARGO, N.D. (Valley Information Stay) – The Backyard Wheel, a centerpiece sculpture for the North Dakota Museum of Artwork, was stolen over the Halloween weekend in 2022. Now a GoFundMe web page has been arrange as they attempt to change the paintings.

The museum is seeking to increase $10,000 for a substitute statue. The Backyard Wheel was initially acquired in 1998. The museum’s plan is to get the unique sculptor, Elizabeth MacDonald, to exchange her paintings.
