Fargo student wins North Dakota’s Google Doodle contest

FARGO — A Fargo highschool pupil’s drawing has an opportunity to be featured on Google’s homepage.

Denise Jiang’s illustration, entitled “Slurp,” gained the Doodle for Google Pupil Contest for North Dakota. She’s a sophomore at South Excessive.

Within the contest, Ok-12 college students from throughout the nation entered drawings, and Google allowed voting on the drawings on their web site.

The winner shall be picked from the highest 5 drawings by a panel of celeb judges.

The successful piece will then be featured on Google’s homepage for a full day in June, and the scholar will get a $30,000 school scholarship. The college may even obtain a $50,000 tech bundle towards enhancing a pc lab or know-how program.

Jiang says this victory was good reassurance for her.

“I’ve entered different artwork competitions and I have never gained these, so it all the time makes me really feel like, ‘Oh, is my artwork not adequate,’ and stuff like that, nevertheless it’s moments like these that I do know that it’ll come,” Jiang mentioned.
