Fargo police notify public of sex offender’s new address
FARGO — The Fargo Police Department has notified the public of a registered sex offender’s new address.
Charles Matthew Carrington Jr. is now living at 729 14th St. N., police said in a news release.
The North Dakota Sex Offender Risk Assessment Committee has deemed Carrington to be a high risk of re-offending. He is a lifetime registrant.
Carrington is 5-foot-8 and 202 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair.
Carrington was convicted in 2006 of sexual abuse of a minor in federal court, police said. His victim was a 12-year-old girl who he sexually assaulted over two years, according to police.
Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of “staff.” Often, the “staff” byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
