Families of long-term care residents invited to North Dakota conference

BISMARCK — North Dakota’s

Lengthy-Time period Care Ombudsman Program

is inviting relations of long-term care facility residents to a one-day convention on Sept. 9.

The occasion will run from 8:30 a.m. to three p.m. within the Pioneer Room of the Judicial Wing of the Capitol in Bismarck and on-line.

Dr. Susan Wehry, chief of geriatrics on the College of New England Faculty of Osteopathic Medication, will kick off the convention at 8:30 a.m. that day with a presentation titled: “Patienthood to Personhood.”

At 10:15 a.m., Dr. Laura Mosquenda, director of the Nationwide Middle on Elder Abuse and a professor on the College of Southern California, will communicate on tips on how to examine and curb elder abuse.

At 1:30 p.m., Jocelyn Bogdan, senior program and coverage specialist with the nationwide advocacy group Client Voice, will current on organizing household councils.
