WILLISTON, N.D. — Authorities have identified the driver killed in a head-on collision which occurred 25 miles east of Williston on Friday afternoon.

According to NDHP reports, the Ford driven by Seiferd failed to negotiate a slight curve in the road and crossed into the eastbound lanes. The Ford pickup struck the Toyota head on, causing both vehicles to spin and come to a halt in the south ditch of the highway.

Ndahigwa was pronounced dead on scene. Nanan was transported via ambulance first to Tioga Medical Center and then to Trinity Health in Minot with serious injuries. Seiferd was transported to Tioga Medical Center via ambulance with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of “staff.” Often, the “staff” byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
