‘Dateline’ to re-examine 2006 murder of Mindy Morgenstern in North Dakota
VALLEY CITY, N.D. — A homicide case that shocked North Dakota 16 years in the past will likely be re-examined by “Dateline” on Friday evening, Feb. 10.
Correspondent Keith Morrison will discover the killing of 22-year-old Mindy Morgenstern.
A scholar at Valley Metropolis State College in 2006, Morgenstern was discovered strangled together with her throat lower in her off-campus condominium.
A neighbor, Moe Gibbs, was arrested every week later and charged together with her homicide.
In 2007 Gibbs was
sentenced to life
with out the potential for parole for the homicide.
For Friday’s “Dateline” episode Morrison interviewed family and friends of Morgenstern, together with her mother and father, Eunice and Larry Morgenstern.
Others interviewed embrace former North Dakota Bureau of Prison Investigation Agent Mark Sayler and prosecutor Jonathan Byers.
“Dateline” runs from 8 to 10 p.m. CST Friday on NBC.
