Curling becomes North Dakota’s official sport, thanks to Bismarck sixth-grader

Doug Burgum on Thursday signed into legislation Senate Invoice 2229 — which designates the sport of ice, stones and brooms because the state’s official sport — with a tongue-in-cheek announcement of a “sweeping” change to state legislation.
