Crews respond to fire at former Nash school in northeast North Dakota

NASH, N.D. — Crews spent greater than 5 hours at a hearth of a former northeast North Dakota faculty constructing within the early hours of Sunday, Sept. 11.

The Grafton Volunteer Fireplace Division responded round 12:37 a.m. Sunday to a construction fireplace on the former Nash Faculty in Nash, North Dakota. In line with a Fb publish from the division, 13 members of GVFD responded and had been on scene for five-and-a-half hours.

Different responding businesses included Hoople Fireplace Division, St. Thomas Fireplace Division, Valley Ambulance Rescue Service, Walsh County Sheriff’s Workplace, North Dakota Recreation and Fish Division, Walsh Rural Water District and Nodak Rural Electrical Cooperative.

The scene continues to be monitored for rekindling, the division mentioned.

The reason for the fireplace is undetermined.

The Nash faculty closed after the 2008-2009 faculty 12 months, based on Herald archives. It had been round since 1957. The college closed on account of dwindling attendance.

Nash is an unincorporated neighborhood about 8 miles northwest of Grafton. The city is about 49 miles northwest of Grand Forks.
